Getting out of bed at 4:45 am is a pain, but this morning and several others recently have given us a starry display that is quite awesome. With some of the major constellations just above the horizon as we walk to the showers, I'm afraid I'll walk into a parked car or off the dock some day. On the walk back to the boat we get to see the beginnings of the sunrise, as the stars start to fade. Some of the birds are making their wake up calls heard, and the air is still and cool. It's this moment that makes all the work I do making auto parts seem so...meaningless.
Have a great day everyone.
Kinda puts it all in perspective doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteNot to worry about your extensive work list. When I left in "09", I had a very nice EXCEL spreadsheet, prioritized by category, time, cost etc, etc. (another geeky engineer). The day I left, the spreadsheet became obsolete. New priorities took over my life. I never looked at the spreadsheet again. When I returned to Sodus in the spring of "12" the spreadsheet looked pretty much like it did before I left. I heard this from others who cast off the dock lines.... and boy is it ever true......
